AED was brought in by a chemical facility to perform functional safety studies to verify that their systems were in accordance with IEC 61508 requirements. Acting as an SIS (Safety Instrumented System) and SIL (Safety Integrity Level) consultant, our team reviewed the client's design and operating conditons and made recommendations for additional instrumentation required to comply with IEC requirements without burdening the site with over design and increased costs.
